The

The Design Process for print.
(N.B. Web construction is a more complicated process,
depending on the size of the site required, which usually
involves planning interactivity, content and technical
requirements. It will, however, follow similar stages
but involve addititional planning. We would explain
this in more detail at the briefing stage.)
1. INITIAL BRIEF
The first stage is to establish which product you require.
It would be useful if we could meet up and discuss this,
but we're happy to receive written instructions if you
prefer. Either way, it is important to consider: (a)
the overall objective; (b) how your competitors approach
the same issue (if relevant); (c) who will be writing
and supplying text (copy) along with photos and images.
2. WRITTEN ESTIMATE(S)
From the information established at the briefing stage
we will supply written estimates describing each item
discussed. Once the costings are determined, it is extremely
rare that any hidden charges accrue. (It is our policy
to inform you of any other charges before commencing
with the work.)
3. FIRST DRAFT(S)
If you decide to go ahead with the order, we will work
on the design(s) and present the idea(s) to you for
feedback.
4. DEVELOPMENT
The chosen design(s) will then be developed until a
professional and satisfactory level of artwork is acheived.
This stage may include various proofs.
5. FINAL ARTWORK
In the case of design for print, final artwork will
then be created and set-up to meet the technical specifications
necessary for press production.
6. PRINT BUYING?
As part of our service we can arrange, purchase and
deliver the printed item(s) on your behalf.
